Alun has been with Broker Insights since the launch of the first market proposition in 2018 and has worked in a variety of commercial leadership roles from customer acquisition through to strategic account management. Prior to Broker Insights, Alun worked in a variety of sales and distribution roles within Aviva’s Commercial Trading & Partnerships divisions, having joined on the graduate intake following completion of an LLB at the University of Strathclyde.

Amy Garland is an ACCA-qualified accountant with a proven track record in driving financial excellence across high-pressure environments. Bringing extensive experience from the Oil & Gas, Energy, IT, and Insurtech sectors, Amy has excelled in both SMEs and large global enterprises, navigating complex projects and fostering financial transformation.

At Broker Insights, Amy oversees financial strategy, reporting, planning and analysis, playing a pivotal role in aligning financial practices with our broader organisational goals. Known for her methodical approach and high degree of organisation, Amy ensures that Broker Insights’ financial foundation remains robust, adaptable, and primed for growth.

Andy is a Business Analyst with over 30 years of experience, including roles at leading blue-chip companies such as Orange, Vodafone, and Barclays Bank, before transitioning into the insurance sector. For more than two decades, he has leveraged the power of data and analytics across diverse industries and organisations. Andy began his insurance journey with a major UK network, where he was instrumental in developing a comprehensive Data Proposition. In July 2019, he joined Broker Insights, contributing to the ongoing transformation of the industry.

Joining Broker Insights in 2021, Steve has been instrumental in expanding the UK business, attracting new partners to the platform, and leading the Broker Trading Team. With a distinguished career in the commercial insurance industry, Steve has held several senior roles and successfully managed his own business, showcasing his expertise and leadership within the field. Prior to Broker Insights, Steve was Regional Director at Arch Insurance, leading the Central Region across the Midlands & South West.

Chris van der Kuyl is one of Scotland’s leading entrepreneurs working across the technology, media, gaming and entertainment sectors. Chris is most notably co-founder and chairman of multiple award-winning games developer 4J Studios, best known for developing Minecraft for Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo games consoles. He and fellow co-founder, Paddy Burns, launched Chroma Ventures, the investment arm of 4J Studios, in 2021.
